Abstract

Objective To investigate the distribution of allergens in preschool children with allergic skin disease in Jinshan District of Shanghai. Methods EUROASSAY semi-quantitative method was used to detect inhalant and ingestive allergens in serum of 296 preschool children with allergic skin diseases. The status of allergens was analyzed. Results The positive rate of the allergen test was80. 4 %. Dust mite( 44. 3 %),cockroach( 42. 6 %),egg white( 20. 6 %),peanut( 19. 3 %) and crab( 18. 2 %) were demonstrated to be the common allergens, among which dust mite was most common among the inhalant allergens and egg white was most common among the ingestive allergens. Conclusion Allergens have an important impact on the children with allergic diseases. Early detection is helpful to control the allergic disease and reduce the repeated attacks. For preschool children, inhalant allergens were more common than ingestive allergens, especially dust mite and cockroach.
