Abstract

Objective:To compare the difference of intraocular pressure measured by non-contact tonometer(NCT)and Goldmann applanation tonometer. Methods:The intraocular pressure(IOP) of 112 persons(220 eyes) were measured with NCT and Goldmann applanation tonometer respectively, and the central corneal thickness were also measured with ultrasonic pachymeter. The refraction diopter were checked with autorefractor. Results:The IOP for NCT and Goldmann applanation tonometry were 1.98±0.69kPa and 2.34±0.77kPa respectively. The IOP with NCT was lower than that with Goldmann applanation tonometer(0.36±0.37kPa,P0.05).The IOP of NCT was positive relative to the central corneal thickness, and negative relative to the refraction diopter. Conclusion:The IOP with NCT was lower than that with Goldmann applanation tonometer. The critical IOP measured with NCT should be rechecked with Goldmann applanation tonometer.
