The expression and significance of Cyclin D1in renal cell carcinoma

Objective To study the expression and significance of cell cycle protein D1(Cyclin D1)in renal cell carcinoma.Methods With immunohistochemical techniques,we detected the expression of Cyclin D1in renal cell carcinoma and adjacent normal tissues in60 patients.Then we analyzed the correlation between expression of Cyclin D1 and clinical parameters.Results The positive expression rate of Cyclin D1 in renal cell carcinoma and normal tissue was 83.3% and 6.6%,respectively.The expression of Cyclin D1in renal cell carcinoma was not correlated with gender and age of the patients,nor with the size of the tumor.Conclusion Cyclin D1 can serve as a marker for the differentiation of renal cell carcinoma.
