Abstract
Objective To detect the expression of Cyclin D1 in pancreatic carcinoma(PC)and to explore its clinical significance. Methods The 50 primary PC specimens and 36 cases of carcinoma adjacent tissues were collected, and the expression of Cyclin D1 was detected by immunohistochemistry,RT-QPCR and Western-Blot.The correlation between the expression of Cyclin D1 and the biological behavior of PC was analyzed. Results Cyclin D1 was highly expressed in PC tissue. The expression of Cyclin D1 was closely related to the histological grading, proliferative activity, tumor metastasis and clinical stage of PC,however, which was not correlated with patient’s age, gender, survival time and anatomical site of carcinoma. Conclusion The over-expression of Cyclin D1 may be related to the pathogenesis and progress of pancreatic carcinoma.
