Abstract

Jiao Xun,a famous scholar in Qing dynasty, constructed a new system to interpret Yi Jing with some new principles such as Pang tong(旁通),Shixing(时行),xiangcuo(相错).He paid more attention to creating a moral philosophy, which focuses on the human behavior,i.e.the realm of practice is based on the natural philosophy of Yi Jing, than to the rules of the change of the Eight Diagrams. The main point he argued is that the significance of the world of human being is derived from the laying out of human's behavior.Whether man's action has a right meaning depends on the operation of Dao and can be corrected by one's own regret.Mou Zongsan argued that Jiao Xun inherited the moral philosophy of Pre Qin dynasty by constructing a world of value and presented the positive aspect of Yi Jing.
