Abstract
Yangang Hydropower station belongs to the hydropower station with water head,under which,there are two types of water turbines,that is,maixed-flow turbine and Pelton turns,which are suitable.Through the comparison of type behaviors of mixed-flow turbine with Pelt on turbine as well as of the home and abroad design and easy or difficult manufacturing and production of two types of turbines,and with the reference to the manufacturers' suggection abroad,this paper describes the type selection of water turbine for Yangang Hdropower station with an aim at the concrete conditions such as topographical conditions and the length of penstock,etc.
