Abstract
Taking principal components analysis and cluster analysis as methods to analyze the main cities in Guangdong Province, this paper builds an index systems of assessment, and finds the factors which affecting the cities' differentiations, and classes 21 main cities in Guangdong Province rationally. The research result is that the regional economic strength is the first reason which affecting the cities' competitiveness, the second is social development and economic rate of development. At last, aiming to the further development, this paper presents some measures to all the main cities in Guangdong Province.
