Competitiveness evaluation of Sichuan cities

Abstract
A comprehensive index system of competitiveness of the 18 cities in Sichuan province is established.The principle component analysis method is used to calculate and compare the comprehensive competitiveness of these cities.The conclusion is that the competitiveness of the 18 cities are different and the difference of competitiveness of the 18 cities comes from the geographical position,the infrastructure construction and the economic basis.Some relevant suggestions to promote the cities competitiveness in Sichuan province are presented.
