Observation on clinical effect of treatment by pral use of midodrine hydrochloride in patients with hemodialysis-related hypotension

Abstract

Objective Discuss about the treatment effect on the oral use of midodrine hydrochloride in patients with hemodialysis-related hypotension.Methods Selected 76 cases with maintenance hemodialysis patients(MHD)in clinic of our hospital from Oct.2004 to Dec.2007,dividing into treatment group and control group,the treatment group is offered 7.5 mg of midodrine hydrochloride,oral administration is taken 30 minutes before dialysis,the treatment period was three months,observed the lowest pressure level after the administration of midodrine hydrochloride and the blood pressure level after dialysis,the comfort in the treatment,tolerance and adverse drug reactions.Results The marked effective rate was 82.6%,effective rate was 15.3%,ineffective rate was 2.1%,3 cases occurs with adverse reactions,the difference of two groups was significant P0.001.Conclusion Higher blood flow volume may be kept in the patients at the time of dialysis after the treatment of oral use of Midodrine Hydrochloride,fully being dehydrated,guarantee the sufficiency of dialysis,increase the dialysis quality of patients and improve the living status of patients.
