Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of midodrine hydrochloride to prevent hemodialysis-related hypotension and related symptoms.METHODS 37 patients(1665 hemodialysis procedures) were given midodrine hydrochloridedosage pre-,during,and post-hemodialysis,and the changes of blood pressure and clinical symptoms pre-,during,post-hemodialysis were observed. RESULTS The incidence of classic,usual,and slight symptoms were reduced significantly by using midodrine hydrochloride(P0.01).Blood pressure pre-,during,post-hemodialysis was better controlled compare to pre-medicine therapy(P0.01).CONCLUSION Midodrine hydrochloride is effective in preventing and improving clinical symptoms for the patients with hemodialysis-related hypotension.
