Curative effects of vinpocetine on patients with acute cerebral infarction

Abstract
Objective To observe the curative effects of vinpocetine on patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods One hundred and twenty cases of ACI were randomly divided into observation group and control group.Sixty cases in the control group were given intravenous drip infusion of 20 mL injectio salvia miltiorrhiza combined with 250 mL physiological saline,once daily,fourteen days a course of treatment;sixty cases in the observation group were given intravenous drip infusion of 30 mg vinpocetine combined with 250 mL physiological saline,once daily,fourteen days a course of treatment.Curative effects of two groups were observed and compared.Results The total effective rate in observation group was higher than that in contrlol group(P0.01).After the treatment,the whole blood viscosity,the plasma viscosity,the erythrocyte aggregation index,hemaleucin,plateler aggregation and the neurologic impairment score in observation group showed higher improvement than those in control group(P0.05).Conclusion Vinpocetine can cure ACI safely and effectively and can improve hemorrheology of patients significantly.
