Expression of Caspase3 and its clinical significance in breast cancer

Objective To investigate the expression of cyserinly aspartate-specific protease 3(Caspase3),and to reveal the correlation between their expression and clinical-pahtology parameters of breast cancer and to analyze the effect on the pathogenesis and progression of breast cancer.Methods The data of clinic and pathology of 21 cases with adenosis of breast,21 cases of fibroadenoma of breast,and 96 cases of breast caner was respectively collected.All specimens were evaluated by histopathology,immunohistochemistry technique and Western Blot technique with antibodies against of caspase3.The correlation of these factors was analyzed.Results The positive rate of caspase3 protein expression in adenosis,fibroadenoma and carcinoma of breast was 85.72%(18/21),61.90%(13/21) and 23.96%(23/96),respectively.The positive rate of caspase3 protein expression of breast cancer was statistically lower than benign lesions of breast(P=0.000).The decreased caspase3 protein expression of breast cancer associated significantly with more lymph node metastases and higher clinical stage(P=0.010).Conclusion Caspase3 expression in breast cancer is significantly lower than benign lesions of breast.It has an important value on differentiation between the benign and malignant lesions of breast.
