Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and significance of CD44v6 in breast cancer. Methods The tissues of ninety cases of breast cancer, ten cases of breast adenosis and ten cases of breast intraductal papilloma were studied. The expression of CD44v6 was examined by SP immunohistochemical method, followed by further analysis on the relationship between their expression and clinicalpathological parameters. Results Positive expression rate of CD44v6 in breast cancer(78.9%,71/90)was significantly higher than that in adenosis of breast(10%,1/10)and breast intraductal papilloma(20%,2/10),P0.05.Furthermore,the positive expression of CD44v6 was associated with high grading and HER2 positive expression(P0.05).Conclusions The expression of CD44v6 may participate in differentiation and associate with the prognosis of breast cancer.
