Effects of Transfer Factor Capsules Combined with Adefovir dipivoxil on Liver Function and Cytokine in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B

Objective To observe the effects of transfer factor capsules on liver function and serum cytokines in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).Methods 80 CHB patients admitted from Mar.2011 to Mar.2012 were randomly(random number table) divided into observation group and control group,40 cases each.The control group received adefovir dipivoxil treatment,while the observation group was treated with transfer factor capsules on the basis of control group treatment for 24 weeks.Liver function biochemical markers and Th1/Th2 cytokine secretion changes in both groups before and after treatment were tested.Results After treatment,significant improvement in liver function was seen in the observation group,and AST and ALB levels were statistically significant differnt from the control group(P0.05).In the observation group,serum cytokines IL-2,IFN-γ increased,IL-4,IL-10 decreased,and the IL-2 and IFN-γ levels were also statistically significant different from the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Transfer factor capsules can actively mobilize the body′s immune response in anti-HBV therapy,which is conducive to virus removal.
