Abstract
Objective To analyze the curative effect of adefovir dipivoxil combined with reduced glutathione on decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis, and to observe the effect of them on liver function and serum cytokine levels. Methods From October 2012 to April 2016, 68 patients with chronic hepatitis B cirrhosis were selected. Using a random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group, with 34 cases in each group. Both groups were given anti infection, diuretic, stop bleeding and other conventional symptomatic treatment, and the observation group was given adefovir dipivoxil combined with reduced glutathione in addition. The total efficiency, liver function indexes total bilirubin (TBIL), prothrombin activity (PTA), serum albumin(ALB), alanine transfer enzyme (ALT), procollagen Ⅲ (PCⅢ), type Ⅳ collagen(Ⅳ-C), laminin(LN), transparent phytase (HA)] and serum cell factors [tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF alpha) and leukocyte prime-1 beta(IL-1)] levels before treatment and 90 days after treatment were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 82.35%, which was higher than that of the control group(55.88%), the difference was significant (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the levels of TBIL and ALT were lower in the observation group 90 d after the treatment, and the levels of PTA, ALB were higher, the differences were significant (P<0.05). The levels of PCⅢ, Ⅳ-C, LN, HA in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were significant (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the levels of TNF- and IL-1 in the observation group were lower, and the differences were significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Adefovir dipivoxil combined with reduced glutathione in the treatment of decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis, can improve the liver function of patients, reduce inflammatory cytokine levels, significantly improve the therapeutic effect, is worthy to be popularized. Key words: Decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis; Reduced glutathione; Adefovir dipivoxil; Cytokine; Liver function
