Abstract

AIM:To observe the results of treatment of infected root canals with vitapex paste. METHODS: 320 pateints with 320 infected teeth, deviding into two groups, were treated by root canal therapy. The experimental group was filled with the vitapex paste,The control group with zinc exide olive oil paste. The period of observation after filling infectel root canals was two years. RESULTS: Success rates of experimental and control groups were 97.47% and 89.40% respectively. CONCLUSION: The vitapex paste is a better filling material for infected root canals than others. [
