Abstract
The painting of three-dimensional(3D) realistic terrains is very complicated,which includs some key technology such as 3D terrain modeling,3D graphics transformation,illumination model and texture mapping.The OpenGL graphic standard includes some algorithms about above key technology,which simplifies the painting of 3D realistic terrain.This paper presents some key technology about the painting of 3D realistic terrain and explains how to realize them with OpenGL code.
