Abstract
To build realistic 3D terrain,it often depends mostly on remote sensing image,and its realization is also comparatively complex.This thesis presented a practical method to build realistic 3D terrain:create texture making use of digital map,add 3D effect on the texture by PhotoShop,add light information to it by OpenGL,and project it to the simplified 3D terrain at last.Following this process,we developed a HeNan 3D Terrain Simulation System,which had a comparative reality and speediness.
