Clinical Observation on Improved Small Incision Surgery in Treatment of Thyroid tumor

Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of improved small incision surgery in treating thyroid tumor.Methods One hundred and fourteen patients with thyroid tumor admitted to our hospital from Dec.2010 to Oct.2012 were divided into observation group(n=57) and control group(n=57).The observation group was treated with improved small incision surgery and the control was given traditional thyroid tumor resection.The length of adenomas,operative time,hospital stay,length of the incision,blood loss and postoperative complications were observed and compared between the two groups.Results The length of adenomas,operative time,hospital stay,length of the incision,blood loss and incidences of postoperative complications of the observation group were significant less than those of the control group(P0.05).There was no significant difference of the length of adenomas between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusions Improved small incision surgery is effective in treating thyroid tumor with little damage and small scar,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
