Abstract

Bing 1 A,derived from the cross of Zi 100B and Ⅱ-32B and its testcross to Zi 100A,is a new indica WA-type CMS line in rice.It is characteristic of good plant type,blast resistance,good stress tolerance,high combining ability,good grain quality and high outcrossing rate.It was certified by the Crop Variety Appraisal Committee of Hunan Province in April,2010.The breeding procedure,characteristics and performance of F1 hybrids of Bing 1 A were introduced in detail.Besides,the key technical points of its multiplication and hybrid seed production were summarized.
