Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of desogestrel and ethinylestradiol in the treatment of dysfunctional uterine bleeding in menopausal transition period. Methods Clinical data of 166 patients with dysfunctional uterine bleeding in menopausal transition period of treated in our hospital from February 2010 to February 2012 were selected an randomly divided into the observation group(85 patients) and the control group(81 patients). The observation group received desogestrel and ethinylestradiol while the control group received mifepristone. The treatment time and the changes of human chorionic gonadotropin, estrogen and luteinizing hormone(LH) of both groups after medication were observed. Results In the observation group, the mean values of chorionic gonadotropin FSH before and after the treatment were statistically different(P0.05),but LH and estrogen E2 did not change significantly. After comparison,it was found that none of FSH,LH and E2 of the control group changed significantly after the treatment. Conclusion Desogestrel and ethinylestradiol is effective, fast and free of relapse in the treatment of dysfunctional uterine bleeding in menopausal transition period, thereby worthy of clinical promotion.
