The Expressions of P53 and PCNA in Gallbladder Carcinoma and Their Significance

Abstract

Objective To investigate the expressions of P53 and PCNA and their significance in gallbladder carcinoma.Methods Immunohisto-chemistry method was used to investigate the expression of P53 and PCNA in 61 cases of gallbladder carcinoma.Results The positive rate of P53 and PCNA was 37 7%?54 1% respectively, which was positively correlated with the pathological grading and metastasis of the tumor( P 0 01).There was a close relationship between the expression of P53 and PCNA in the tumor.Conclusion P53 and PCNA may be important biological markers to evaluate the malignancy and prognosis of gallbladder carcinoma.
