Value on Determination of Mitochondrial Aspartate Aminotransferase for Diagnosis and Treatment of Heart or Liver diseases

[Objective]To discuss the value of determination of mitochondrial aspartate aminotransferase (m AST) for diagnosis and treatment of heart or liver diseases.[Methods] 100 cases of heart or liver diseases were divided into acute myocardial infarction group, viral myocarditis group, liver cirrhosis group and hepatitis group. The AST and m AST value of patients were determined and compared with that of the normal group.[Results]The differences in AST and m AST value between each observation group and normal group were significant(P0.01).[Conclusion]The determination of m AST isozyme is with high clinical value for the diagnosis and treatment of heart or liver diseases.
