Abstract

Objective To explore the therapeutic value of simvastatin combined with antithrombotic therapy in cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 104 patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 52 patients in each group. All patients received conventional treatment and antithrombotic therapy for 3 months. In addition, patients in observation group were given simvastatin simultaneously.Clinical efficacies, blood lipids, inflammatory factors and adverse reactions were observed in both groups. Results The totaleffective rate in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(92.3% vs 75.0%,χ2=5.70,P0.05).Furthermore,simultaneous treatment with simvastatin obviously improved the levels of blood lipids and inflammatory factors compared with control group(P0.05).No significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions was found between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Simvastatin plays a role in lipid and non-lipid regulation. It can improve the treatment of cerebral infarction through regulating blood lipid and inflammatory factor levels.
