Abstract

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Tongmaijiangzhiyin combined with Simvastatin on hyperlipidemia. Methods 180 cases were randomly divided into three groups, such as Tongmaijiangzhiyin group, Simvastatin group and Tongmaijiangzhiyin combined with Simvastatin group. There were 60 cases in each group. Then, to evaluate the therapeutic effect and blood lipid changes, total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and high density lipoprotein cholesterol were observed in three groups. Results There was an obvious difference (P0.01) of blood lipid changes between before and after treatment in each group. After treatment, the blood lipid changes in Tongmaijiangzhiyin combined with Simvastatin group had no notable discrepancy (P0.05) compared to that of Tongmaijiangzhiyin group or Simvastatin group. The therapeutic effect of Tongmaijiangzhiyin combined with Simvastatin group was superior to that of Tongmaijiangzhiyin group and Simvastatin group (P0.05). Conclusion Tongmaijiangzhiyin and Simvastatin both have the significant function of decreasing blood lipid, but there is the most excellent therapeutic effect on hyperlipidemia under combination.
