Abstract

A survey on summer bird resources of Ma′anshan Forest Park in Wuhan was carried out from April to October in 2005.55 species which belonged to 11 orders and 24 families were recorded.15 species were summer migrant accounting for 27.27%,40 species were resident birds accounting for 72.73%.Among them,5 were designated as grade Ⅱ key state protected species;43 species were useful or important to economy and scientific research category,as well as 23 species belonged to provincial protected varieties of Hubei Province.The resources of the summer bird were evaluated and possible suggestions for effective management and protection were presented in this paper.
