Abstract

A survey of summer bird resources was conducted in Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park in Zhangjiajie city of China from July to September in 2007.68 species belonging to 24 families and 10 orders were recorded in the forest park,which accounted for 17.00% of 400 species in Hunan province.Among them,40 species were the Oriental,accounting for 58.8%;14 were the Palaearctic,accounting for 20.6%;14 species were the widespread species,accounting for 20.6%.There were 53 species of resident,accounting for 79.94%;15 species of summer migrant,accounting for 20.06%,including 5 Class Ⅱnational protected species.In recent years,the effects of human activities on bird resources of Tianmen Mountain were analyzed.Finally,according to the result and analysis of survey,some rational proposals were put forward.
