Abstract
Microwave was applied to catalytic hydrolysis of hemicellulose from wheat straw by dilute sulfuric acid as a novel heating means. The comparative experiments between traditional partitions heating and microwave heating were carried out.The impacts on the yield of reducing sugar were investigated through orthogonal experiment including four main factors, which were acid concentration, total solids content of raw materials, reaction time and reaction temperature. The experimental results showed that higher conversion rate of raw materials and higher yield of reducing sugar would be achieved when wheat straw in dilute acid under microwave irradiation.Infrared analysis about hydrolysis residue is in accord with the conversion of raw materials in hydrolysis process.
