Abstract

Microwave radiation was used in the acid hydrolysis of cotton straw into reducing sugar. The effect of microwave irradiation temperature, microwave irradiation time,solid-liquid ratio and sulfuric acid concentration were measured. The results showed that the best conditions of microwave-assisted dilute acid hydrolysis of cotton straw into reducing sugar were microwave irradiation temperature 80 ℃,microwave irradiation time 50 min,solid-liquid ratio 1 ∶ 16 g/m L,and sulfuric acid concentration 3.0%.The order of the saccharification parameters that the yield ratio of reducing sugar was as follows:solid-liquid ratio microwave irradiation temperature sulfuric acid concentration microwave irradiation time.Under this optimal condition, the yield ratio of reducing sugar could reach 3.17%.
