Abstract

Objective To investigate the relations of expression of ER,PR,C-erbB_2,p53 and PCNA with histological grade, tumor volume, metastasis of the tumor in the lymph node and survival time in Mongolian patients with breast carcinoma. Methods 399 Mongolian patients with breast carcinoma were studied.Immunohistochemical staining was used for examining ER,PR,C-erbB_2,p53 and PCNA.Results Positive rates of ER and PR decreased with increasing grade of breast carcinoma.Positive rates of C-erbB_2,p53 and PCNA increased with increasing grade of breast cancer. The expression rates of C-erbB_2,p53 and PCNA SⅡ were high in patients living for less than 5 years after surgical operation, and were low in those living for ≥5 years after operation.C-erbB_2,p53 and PCNA SⅡ were positively correlated and ER,PR were negatively correlated with metastasis of the tumor in the lymph node. Conclusions ER and PR are important indexes for judging prognosis and directing endocrine treatment.C-erbB_2,p53 and PCNA are also factors for judging prognosis.
