Abstract

Objective In order to understand the relationship of C-erbB-2 and PCNA overexpression to ER and PR in breast cancer and their clinical significance. Methods Immunohistochemistry S-P mothod was employed to detect the expressions of C-erbB-2,PCNA,ER and PR in breast carcinoma. Results The positive rates of C-erbB-2 ,PCNA ,ER and PR in breast carcinoma were 58.8% 56.5% ,71.8% and 67.06%,respectively.The positive rates of expression of C-erbB-2 and PCNA were higher in the group with positive expression of ER and PR than negative group ,and in the group with positive lymph node metastasis than non-lymph node metastasis group.C-erbB-2、PCNA expression was in negative correlation with ER、PR(P0.05 and P0.01).There was a correlation between C-erbB-2、PCNA and axillary lymph node metastasis (P0.01 and P0.05).Conclusions The expression of C-erbB-2 and PCNA is significantly correlated with ER and PR expression. The tests of c-erbB-2,PCNA,ER and PR are of importance in guiding endocrinous therapy and estimating prognosis.
