Abstract
The development of the cognitive metaphor theory helps to find the theoretical basis for the existence of scientific language.Furthermore,the grammatical metaphor theory represented by Halliday who founds the systemic functional school opens up a whole new realm for the analysis of scientific language.Lexical metaphor familiarize scientific language to the public and strengthen the communication between scientists and the public,while grammatical metaphor makes the process description,such as the formation,development of things in the world more technical,objective.This paper mainly discusses the application of grammar metaphor in scientific language.
