Abstract
The rapid development of Systematic Functional Grammar has shedded new light on the study of metaphor.The theory of grammatical metaphor has enriched traditional metaphor theory.Grammatical metaphor is an indispensable part of language for science and it plays an important part in organizing conceptual systems,reshaping human experience and the framing of discourses.This paper attempts to analyze the use of grammatical metaphor in language for science and explore its significance in learning language for science.
