Abstract
Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics of cervical cancer in Ningbo and provide evidence for the prevention and control of cervical cancer.Methods The incidence data of cervical cancer in Ningbo from 2006 to 2010 were collected to calculate the incidence and analyze the differences in different age groups and areas.Joinpoint regression analysis was conducted to understand the incidence trend of cervical cancer.Results The incidence of cervical cancer was highest in age group 40-59 years,ranging from 20.96/lakh to 38.87/lakh.The standardized incidence in Fenghua was 17.18/lakh,which was higher than those in another 2 surveillance areas-Haishu and Yuyao.No change was found in the incidence trend over time.Conclusion Women aged 40-59 years were the high risk population of cervical cancer and the incidence of cervical cancer was high in rural area in Ningbo.
