Abstract

Objective:To study the incidence and the prevalence characteristics of cervical cancer in Lianyungang city from 2007 to 2010.Methods: Based on the case diagnosis data during 2007-2010 collected from Lianyungang Cancer Registry System, the incidence of cervical cancer was described. Results: Cervical cancer was the 7th common cancer in female in Lianyungang city. And the crude incidence rate of cervical cancer was 8.74/100 000 in Lianyungang city and the standardized incidence rate was 8.17/100 000 from 2007 to 2010.The peak age group of cervical cancer was 50~60 years old,and the incidence of cervical cancer in urban areas was higher than that in rural areas. Conclusion: The standardized incidence rate of cervical cancer in Lianyungang city is higher than that in China. The incidence of cervical cancer in urban area is higher than that in rural area, and the peak age group of cervical cancer is later than that of China.
