The Breeding Technological Report of Hybrid Maize of Danyu 26

Danyu26 is a single cross hybrid maize which was combined with two inbred lines bred in Dandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences.The inbred line Dan 9046 was used as the female parent and Dan 598 as the male parent.Danyu 26 is a late maturing hybrid.It needs accumulative temperature 3 100℃·d(≥10℃)to mature.The hybrid showed high and stable yield at various experiment plots in various areas in 1995～1999.The result showed that it had very high ability of disease resistance,lodging resistance ,drought resistance and wide adaptation.In general condition,the hybrid average yield was above 9 750 kg/hm 2 ,increased by 8% than local public varieties.The adaptive planting areas of Danyu 26 were the southern part of Jilin province,the most part of Liaoning province,and northern part of China where planting corn in the spring.The plant population were 43 500seedlings/hm 2.
