Abstract

Danyu 28 is a maize hybrid which was bred by crossing DS01×M67. Danyu 28 is a middlematuring hybrid, the hybrid showed high and stable yield at various experiment plots in various areas in 1996～1999. The results showed that it had very high ability of disease resistance, lodging resistance, drought resistance. Matures when plant is still green. In general conditions, the hybrid average yield was about 9 450 kg/ha, increased by 8% than local public varieties. The adaptive planting areas of Danyu 28 were in the MiddleNouthern part of Liaoning province, the area of Jilin province in which Danyu 13, Danyu 15 and Benyu 9 were planted.
