Abstract
Objective To seek the feasibility of obtaining highly pure berberine hydrochloride. Methods Berberine hydrochloride in Rhizoma coptidis was turned into berberine sulphuric of large dissolubility, and then was turned into crude berberine hydrochloride. Relative highly pure berberine hydrochloride was separated by TLC further. And berberine hydrochloride was separated by column chromatography. Finally, the highly pure berberine hydrochloride was obtained by several crystalli- zations in ethanol, and its content was measured by HPLC.Results The purity of berberine hydrochlo-ride obtained in this method reach over 97%.Conclusion this method is characterized by convenience, practicality, good reproducibility, which can be applied to mass production and supplied for reasonable exploitation of resource.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
