Abstract
Objective To evaluate the qualities of Rhizoma Coptidis from different areas.MethodsThe content of berberine hydrochloride in Rhizoma Coptidis was determined with HPLC.The HPLC was performed on a diamonsil C18(4.6 mm×250 nm,5 μm)column,the mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.1% phosphoric acid solution(50:50),and the detection wavelength was 265 nm.Results The berberine hydrochloride showed good linearity over the range of 0.25~4.0 μg(r=0.9999),the average recovery was 98.7%,RSD=0.34%,the contents of berberine hydrochloride were 5.8%~8.6% in 8 samples.Conclusion The contents of berberine hydrochloride in Rhizoma Coptidis have difference from different areas,and all meet the requirements in Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
