Abstract

Objective To observe the disinfection performance of a clothing disinfectant. Methods Suspension quantitative germicidal test and physical and chemical test were used to observe the bactericidal effect,toxicity and physical and chemical properties of clothing disinfectant. Results The average killing logarithm values of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli in suspension exposed to disinfectant containing chlorhexidine acetate 566 mg/L for 5 min were 5.0;that of Candida albicans exposed to disinfectant containing 566 mg/L chlorhexidine acetate for 10 min was 4.0.The average killing logarithm value of natural bacteria on textile soaked in clothing disinfectant of this concentration for 10 min was 1.0.The mouse acute toxicity test for this clothing disinfectant indicated that the oral LD50 was 5 000 mg/kg and the result of micronucleus test was negative.The decrease rate of chlorhexidine acetate concentration was 1.50% when this disinfectant stored at 37℃ for 90 d with sealed bag. Conclusion The clothing disinfectant solution is stable and has good germicidal efficacy on vegetative form of bacteria and fungi.It has no toxicity basically.
