Interpretation of Affection in Shen Congwen's Xiangxi World

Abstract

Shen Congwen's Xiangxi world is famous for its bright and clean emptyspirit.Affection is the major emotional support.Gardenand Woman named Wangarehis two works with the same characteristics:simple character set,respect for life in emotion,and exploration of original ecology of life.Heterogeneity is reflected in:the omniscient point of view and the limited perspective;poetic and non poetic;tragic mode of death and waiting for the tragic mode.Comparing the two works,the article explores the artistic skills in Shen Congwen's novel creation to understand his deep love and guilt for his mother.
