Abstract

Shen Congwen's Xiangxi essays may be regarded as models of modern Chinese prose.Compared with his native novels,the essays highlight perception and cognition of his experience.Shen Congwen's literature thinking inherited the essence of Chinese traditional culture-natural concept of life,which made the divine law unite the humane law.Such concepts embodied in these prose are the words of life,water,nature,beauty,witchcraft and the like.
