On the Unique Artistic Characteristics of Shen Congwen Novels

The works of Shen Congwen, the famous novelist in China, picture the various personages and living mode in 1920's and 1930's of China. His creative methods, artistic style and stylistic forms show clearly creator's own character, and extend the creative field of our modern novel. This paper sets forth the artistic features of Shen Congwen's novels from the perspectives of his personal experiences, his internal world and context, language and stylistic mode in his novel. It is meaningful to study Shen Congwen's personal experiences and his works. Shen Congwen and his works occupy the position in the history of world literature.
