Abstract

It is required for high- speed railways that continuous casting billets for rails should be with good surface and internal qualities. In the paper,it is introduced the effects of manufacturing such representative heavy rail steels as U71 Mn and U75 V in Baotou Steel with large square bland continuous- casting machine applied such key technologies as mold electromagnetic stirring( M- EMS),water distribution of dynamic secondary cooling and dynamic soft reduction.
