Abstract
This paper introduces the continuous casting process for heavy rail steel U71Mn, including automatic control of mould level, servo hydraulic osscillation, M - EMS, F - EMS, protective casting with low overheat at uniform speed, soft secondary cooling system and conditioning of blank surface, etc. . It can meet the requirement on properties and quality for both surface and internal qualities of the steel grade.
