Abstract

Objective To find out common allergens in Changzhou by investigating the allergens in patients with allergic diseases. Methods Serum IgE antibodies to 19 specific allergens and total IgE concentration were quantitatively determined with immunblotassay in vitro. Results 443 of 600(73.83%) cases presented positive reaction. The total IgE was positive in 302/443(68.17%).Among these positive cases, house dust(61.40%)and cat hair scurf(36.79%)were the most common allergens in inhalation group, and mutton(14.67%)and milk(11.51%)were the most common allergens in food group.Among all positive cases, positive reaction to one allergen was found in 89 cases(20.09%),and that to two or more allergens was accounted for 79.91%.Conclusion House dust and cat hair scurf are the chief allergens which bring out allergic diseases in Changzhou.
