Abstract
The effects of CaCl2 on the growth of cucumber seedlings, the contents of chlorophyll, carotenoid, malondialdehyde(MDA) and proline in leaves under the salt stress by the hydroponic method. The results showed that the dry and fresh weight and the contents of chlorophyll and carotenoid were significantly enhanced, but the MDA and proline significantly decreased,so the foliar spray of CaCl2 could alleviated the salt injury and promoted the growth of cucumber seedlings under the salt stress.
