Abstract
Objective To study the change of serum high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) level in acute cerebral vascular disease. Methods Serum samples were collected from 81 patients with acute cerebral vascular disease, consisting of 30 cases of intracerebral hemorrhage and 51 cases of cerebral infarction, and from 42 healthy persons of control group.Serum hs-CRP was determined by immunoterbidimetry. Results The level of serum hs-CRP in the acute cerebral vascular patients and in control group was(5.10±3.90) mg/L and(1.08±0.56) mg/L respectively. There was significant difference between the two groups(P(0.01)).The level of serum hs-CRP in the cerebral infarction [(3.64±2.80) mg/L] was significantly higher than that in intracerebral hemorrhage [(6.12±3.20) mg/L]. The level of hs-CRP in large cerebral infarction[(5.61±2.40) mg/L] was higher than that in small cerebral infanrction ([(3.48±)2.70) mg/L]. Conclusions High level of serum hs-CRP can be regarded as useful indicative for cerebral vascular disease. The inflammatory process is a dangerous factor that must be taken in consideration in treatment. It is worth notice that rising of the level of hs-CRP is nonspecific.
