Determination of Bergenin Content in Kaihoujian Spray with High Performance Liquid Chromatography

Abstract

Objective: To establish a method for content determination of bergenin in Kaihoujian Spray.Methods: The HPLC method was performed on Hypersil ODS2-C18(5 μm,200 mm×4.6 mm) column with methanol-water(17∶83) as mobile phase.Detection wavelength was 275 nm,and the flow rate was 1.0 ml/min.Results: The linear range of bergenin was 0.050 55~1.365 00 μg(r=0.999 9).The mean recovery was 99.5%,and RSD was 2.1%.Conclusions: The method is simple and accurate for determination of bergenin content in this drug.
