Abstract
Objective:To observe the effects of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with hypertension on lipid metabolism and insulin sensitivity. Methods:A case\|matched study of fasting plasma glucose(FBG),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL),insulin(FIN),C\|peptide(FCP) and insulin sensitivity index(ISI) were detected in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with and without hypertension. Results:Twenty patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated hypertension had higher TG、FINS and FCP,lower HDL and ISI levels than 20 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus without hypertension. Conclusion:Type 2 diabetes mellitus with hypertension had more remarkable lipid metabolic disorder and insulin resistance than type 2 diabetes mellitus without hypertension.
